About Midlife Wellness:

  • We provide longer visits, focusing on you and your individual goals with a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner whose expertise spans over 20 years of health care service. Midlife Wellness’s specific focus on women moving through perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause allows us to have our fingers on the pulse of a growing field that is changing every day. Unfortunately, there has not been enough research in the past that has been specific to the needs of women. Thankfully that is changing and new information becomes available nearly every week that is helping to change the game and increase our ability to care for women as they deserve to be cared for. You deserve to have the most up to date care available to you and Midlife Wellness strives to provide that to every patient.

  • Yes. Midlife Wellness is a consultation based practice and does not provide primary care or general gynecology services. Your visits with Lisa Gay will complement, not replace, your PCP.  It is important that you are established with a primary care provider for your chronic issues, preventative screenings, and urgent care. If you need help finding a provider, please let us know and we can guide you on your options.  

  • Yes! Hormone therapy is one of the main treatment avenues Midlife Wellness offers. When clinically appropriate, we prescribe a myriad of hormone therapies including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and thyroid hormones. We do not place hormone pellets.

  • No. Midlife Wellness only provides care for women at this time.

Insurance and Payments:

  • No. Insurance plans often severely limit the time a provider can spend with a patient and sometimes the type of care; therefore, Midlife Wellness does not participate with insurance plans. Our direct healthcare model removes barriers between you and your provider – forming a healthcare partnership. A healthcare experience designed to prioritize you. Upon request, we can provide you with the paperwork needed to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

  • The initial consultation is $350 for a 60 minute visit.

    All follow up visits are $175 for a 30 minute visit.

    Payment is due at the time of booking to secure your appointment. We accept most major credit cards. Midlife Wellness does not bill insurance but can provide you with the paperwork needed to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. The amount of reimbursement would depend on your specific insurance plan and deductible. We cannot guarantee reimbursement.

  • Yes!

  • Definitely. A detailed superbill which can be submitted to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement can be provided upon request. The amount of reimbursement would depend on your specific insurance plan and deductible. We cannot guarantee reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your insurance plan to determine if you will be reimbursed for any of your visits.

  • No. At this time, Midlife Wellness is unable to serve Medicare or Medicaid patients through insurance or private pay. Private pay may be an option for Medicare patients in the future, however please know that Medicare will not reimburse for these visits.

Appointments:

  • Initial visits are 60 minutes; follow-ups are typically 30 minutes. We will focus on education, evidence-based and up to date treatment options, and giving you plenty of time to feel heard and supported.

  • You will receive a link by email to join our video visit. You don’t have to download a special app. Just click the link in the email from your phone, tablet, or computer a few minutes before your visit.

  • Visits are currently only available via telehealth. If you feel you have an issue that requires an in-person examination, please reach out to your primary care provider or gynecologist.

  • We kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice of appointment cancellation or re-scheduling. Last minute cancellation of the appointment or failure to attend will result in a cancellation fee.

                      If you are an existing patient, you can also schedule your appointments through the patient portal.
